USCF State Release Paths
USCF can receive a person after a Piute felony prison commitment and processes almost all UDC paroles and releases. Outcomes include parole to the community, parole to a community correctional center, sentence expiration, or another authorized movement. Parole means the person is outside prison under Board conditions and UDC Adult Probation & Parole supervision. Discharge or expiration ends the relevant correctional term. A transfer between facilities is continued custody.
Do not use the Sevier County inmate search to prove a state-prison release. Even when a UDC prisoner was housed in a county contract bed, state legal status and UDC release procedures control. UDC says almost everyone in that group also processes through USCF, with rare county-jail exceptions communicated to the affected person and family.

Confirm a USCF Release
The UDC Offender Search covers people currently incarcerated or currently supervised on probation or parole. Search by UDC number when possible. Otherwise enter at least one letter of the first and last name, then compare date of birth, UDC number, legal status, offense, court and case, and location information. A name match alone is not enough.

USCF Tuesday Release Process
UDC's Release Day information says paroles and state-prison releases are processed on Tuesdays. It gives a 9 a.m. arrival for people attending USCF or CUCF releases and a 10 a.m. arrival associated with people housed in county jails. Those are state release logistics. They do not establish that a named person will leave on a particular Tuesday.
People without rides may be taken to a nearby UTA TRAX station and are released last. UDC transports people who parole to a community correctional center. A family member should verify the current official instructions and the person's actual authorized date before travel. A VINE alert, tentative date, or old Board order may be superseded by a later event.

Piute's No-Jail State Connection

County of conviction, housing building, release building, and supervision office are not interchangeable.
A historical 1998 Garfield plan referenced emergency jail service for Piute. Current official material directs sentenced Piute jail offenders to Sevier, while felony prison commitments enter UDC. Utah Prison Release Dates
Utah prison judgments are generally indeterminate, running between statutory minimum and maximum terms unless the Board acts sooner. The UDC public field is described as “Parole/Expiration Date.” Board sources also use tentative hearing date, guideline date, parole date, termination, and earned-time credit. These labels should not be collapsed into a universal projected date.
Utah Code §77-27-5.4 governs earned time. USCF Release Verification Limits
Utah VINE can notify users about release, transfer, escape, return, death, parole dates, and specified movements. It is an alert, not a certified record. The Utah Board currently warns that notifications can be inaccurate or missing. Confirm an alert with UDC and the Board, particularly when a later rescission or transport issue could affect departure.
A person listed as a parolee has left prison but remains supervised. A person shown at a prison location remains confined even if a future date appears. A fully discharged person may disappear from the current UDC search. For a durable answer, request the existing public parole, expiration, termination, or discharge date and retain the final Board order that explains the authority.
Match USCF Release Evidence
State records should be matched with a UDC number whenever it is available. If searching by name, compare date of birth, legal status, offense, sentencing court, and case. Known aliases can appear in Board results. A shared name is not enough to connect an order or release date to a Piute case. The court commitment provides the bridge from the county case to the state offender record.
Preserve the exact date label. A tentative hearing period is scheduling information. A guideline date is advisory. A Board parole date is an authorized outcome that can still be rescinded or modified. A UDC physical movement documents what happened at the facility. A later termination or discharge date answers when state correctional status ended. Combining them into one “release date” can hide an important change.
