Piute 72-Hour Release Window
A three-day window is wider than a same-day check. It can capture an event from late Friday through Monday, bridge an office closure, or account for a requester who did not know the exact release day. That benefit does not create a public feed. No official Piute released-person view exists because Piute has no jail, and no distinct Sevier 72-hour released view was found.
The official Piute-to-Sevier route applies most clearly to people sentenced to serve jail time. A particular arrestee may be confined elsewhere. Ask the Piute County Sheriff's Office which facility accepted the booking before filing a date-range request. The arresting agency, physical jail, court, and later state custodian may each hold a different part of the record.
Check Piute 72-Hour Releases
Define the desired interval before contacting an agency. Use a start date and time, an end date and time, and the local timezone. That precision helps the custodian determine whether an existing release log covers the request. If no log exists, identify the person or bookings at issue. Utah GRAMA governs access to existing government records, but it generally does not require an agency to make a new custom spreadsheet.
- Confirm the three-day period, including exact start and end timestamps.
- Ask Piute Sheriff where the person or group of arrests was booked and confined.
- Use Sevier's current inmate search only to see who is listed now, if Sevier was the custodian.
- Call the actual custodial jail and ask whether it maintains an existing release log for the stated range.
- If a log cannot be produced, request identified booking, release, and transfer entries instead.
- Follow each receiving agency named in a transfer record and compare the jail event with the court authority.
The Released Last 24 Hours path is better for a same-day request. Its narrower window reduces the number of records that may need review.
Note: State the date range yourself because no official page defines when a Piute or Sevier 72-hour window starts or resets.
Piute 72-Hour Release Fields
Since there is no verified public feed, the useful fields are a request inventory rather than promised screen columns. A release log may contain fewer items than an individual booking file. Ask for existing data, accept lawful redaction, and request the nonexempt remainder if part of a record is withheld.
| Field | Purpose in a three-day review |
|---|---|
| Name and known aliases | Matches a person across arrests or agencies |
| Admission date and time | Identifies the relevant booking |
| Release or transfer date and time | Places the custody change inside the requested window |
| Release reason or authority | Distinguishes bond, court order, sentence completion, and other bases |
| Booking number | Separates repeat bookings or similar names |
| Destination or receiving agency | Shows whether custody continued elsewhere |
No official source verified that Sevier publishes all these fields, photographs, retention periods, or updates. A focused request can still ask for them if maintained. Piute should receive the request for its arrest and transport record. Sevier should receive the request for Sevier booking and release data. UDC should receive a separate request when state custody is involved.
Piute's Two-Custodian Release Workflow
Piute's zero-bed status shapes the whole lookup. A web search for a “Piute County Jail” can lead to unsupported third-party claims, yet official UDC material reports no local jail and routes sentenced people to Sevier. The Piute Sheriff may document arrest, citation, and transport. Sevier may document physical booking, confinement, property, and departure. The Piute court documents the legal order.
This division matters more across three days because several cases may involve more than one destination. Do not assume every Piute arrest in the range went to Sevier. Ask which facility accepted each person. Garfield County has only a historical emergency-service connection in the reviewed material, so use it only when Piute or the case record identifies Garfield as the actual custodian.
When Sevier confirms a transfer, the receiving system takes over. UDC covers state prison custody and current parole or felony probation. ICE has its own locator when immigration custody is identified. The federal Bureau of Prisons locator applies to BOP sentences, not a routine Utah county booking. Each channel answers a narrower question.
Piute Weekend Release Records
A 72-hour request can bridge a weekend, but no source established a special Sevier weekend-release rule or processing schedule. Do not assume that an order entered late in the week produced an immediate community release. A second hold, transport arrangements, data entry, or another agency's pickup can separate the court date from the jail-door time.
Use the jail event as the physical timestamp. Then read the Piute court record for the legal basis. If the record shows a commitment or transfer, follow the receiving agency. For a state prisoner, a Board parole date and UDC release process govern. Those state procedures must not be applied to an ordinary Sevier county-jail release.
A three-day list can also contain more than one kind of departure. Some people may leave after bond or a court order. Others may complete a definite sentence. Still others may move to UDC, another county, ICE, or federal custody. Only a release to the community should be described that way.
Note: Weekend coverage broadens the search period, but it does not cure a missing record, an identity mismatch, or an unverified transfer destination.
Sevier Search Is Not Release History
The Sevier Sheriff current inmate interface is an initial status check. A listed person is currently shown by that system. Once a name leaves the live results, the screen no longer explains why. Community release, another custodian, a spelling mismatch, and update lag can all look like absence. The interface has no verified public 72-hour history.
The official Sevier current inmate search is the proper source for that limited step.
The captured interface supports current-custody navigation. It does not establish a release reason, release time, receiving agency, or three-day retention window.
When the screen and a phone statement conflict, ask for the existing release or transfer entry. That record is stronger than an inference from roster disappearance. A VINE alert can add timely notice if the custodial jail participates, but UDC says automated alerts still require verification.
Request Piute Three-Day Release Records
Utah GRAMA, Title 63G Chapter 2, supplies the request framework. Give the government office enough detail to locate an existing record: full names and aliases, dates of birth when known, arresting agency, arrest date, Piute case number, and booking number. State the 72-hour bounds. Ask whether an existing release log can be copied. If not, narrow the request to known bookings.
For each matching event, request the admission time, departure time, release authority or type, and destination or receiving agency if maintained. Ask for electronic copies and a fee estimate before the cost passes a chosen limit. No flat Piute or Sevier release-record fee was verified. Section 63G-2-203 permits certain actual costs, while §63G-2-204 sets the request and response framework without creating a universal delivery promise.
Agencies may classify or redact protected information. Request segregable public portions and the statutory basis for anything withheld. A concise records request is more useful than asking the sheriff to explain what happened or to build a report that does not exist.
Verify Piute Release Outcomes
The final check separates legal authority from physical movement. A Piute court order can show bail, dismissal, a sentence, credit for time served, probation, or commitment. It may not record the exact time the person left the jail. Sevier's release entry is stronger on that timestamp. If the entry names a receiver, the next agency's locator or record confirms continued custody.
| Record result | Meaning | Verification source |
|---|---|---|
| Community release | Person left that custodian for the community | Custodial-jail event plus court order |
| Transfer to UDC | State custody continues | UDC locator, record, and Board order when applicable |
| Transfer to another jail | County custody continues elsewhere | Receiving jail |
| ICE pickup | Civil immigration custody may continue | ICE locator or ERO after the jail identifies ICE |
| No current-search result | Outcome is unknown | Release or transfer record |
For a search focused on one named person across all these channels, use the Piute County released inmate search. A true 72-hour request remains date-based and should not be filled with names taken from news or commercial sites.
