Piute County Released Photo Records
A mugshot is a photograph made during a booking or corrections intake. Release does not change the historical purpose of that image. It also does not make every photograph public on a web page. Utah's public-record framework begins with classification of the record, and an agency may redact or withhold private, protected, sealed, juvenile, medical, victim, security-sensitive, or investigative material when the law applies.
Utah Department of Corrections expressly lists a prison photo or mug shot among its public offender information. That is a strong source for a UDC image. It is not the same as a Sevier County Jail booking photograph. For a Piute arrest, determine who actually booked the person, then ask that custodian for the image created for the identified booking. The Piute County Sheriff's Office may separately hold a photograph associated with its own arrest record, but no public Piute photo feed was found.
Old images need careful labels. An arrest-era photo says nothing by itself about disposition, release date, supervision, or present appearance. Pair it with the court and release records when those facts matter.
Where Piute County Mugshots Appear
No single Piute County released-mugshot search covers every custody path. The available channel depends on whether the person had a county booking, entered UDC, fell within a specific registry law, or appeared in an official public release. Several sources may have different images from different dates.
| Channel | Photo status | How to access |
|---|---|---|
| Piute Sheriff | No roster or released-photo feed | Ask for an image actually maintained with the named arrest record. |
| Sevier current inmate search | Photo field and post-release archive not verified | Use the live search only as a current-custody lead, then contact Sevier. |
| Sevier Sheriff app | Jail Information verified; photos not verified | Check the official app without assuming a mugshot feature. |
| County GRAMA request | Booking photo may be requested | Name the booking, date, and photograph as a separate record item. |
| UDC public information | Prison photo is expressly listed as public | Use UDC's public-information and records route. |
| Utah offender registry | Image may appear for a person subject to registration | Use only as an offense-specific statutory source. |
| Official releases or news | An arrest-era image may remain | Trace it to the named agency and do not infer present status. |
Commercial aggregators can copy stale, incomplete, or mismatched data. They may serve as a weak lead, but they are not release proof. No commercial mugshot publisher, data broker, or paid removal service is linked or endorsed here. Return to the official custodian.
Note: Each photo channel has a different scope, so match the image to a specific booking or prison intake before relying on it.
Find Piute County Booking Custodians
The absence of a Piute jail changes the first step. Official state material reports zero Piute jail beds and says people sentenced to serve Piute jail time are transported to Sevier County Jail. That does not prove Sevier handled every arrest, temporary hold, or transport. Ask Piute County Sheriff which facility accepted the named person.
When Sevier is confirmed, its booking record is the logical source for a Sevier booking photo and physical release event. The Sevier current inmate search is not a released-photo archive. Research did not verify a photo field, an update cycle, or post-release retention on that interface. A missing name cannot establish that an image was removed, that the person was released, or that the booking never occurred.
The official current-search interface is shown below to clarify its limited role.

If Piute identifies Garfield County Jail or another custodian, send the photo request there instead. A historic reference to Garfield emergency service does not prove a current placement.
Request Piute County Booking Photos
Utah's Government Records Access and Management Act, or GRAMA, governs requests for existing state and local government records. Use Title 63G, Chapter 2 as the current statutory source. A narrow request helps the records officer locate the right booking and decide the photograph's classification. It does not require an agency to create a photo, research what happened, or build a new report.
- Confirm the arresting agency and the jail that completed the booking.
- Provide the full name, aliases, date of birth, arrest date, Piute case number, and booking number if known.
- Ask separately for the booking photograph created for that exact booking.
- Request an electronic copy and ask for an estimate before costs exceed a stated limit.
- If material is withheld, ask for the nonexempt part and the classification and legal basis.
Piute Sheriff is at 550 N. Main in Junction and can route a request for its own arrest record. No dedicated sheriff form, published records hours, or flat fee was found. For a Sevier booking, contact Sevier County Jail at 835 E. 300 North in Richfield and ask for its current written-request route. No universal booking-photo fee or guaranteed response time was verified.
Under ยง63G-2-203, fees may reflect permitted duplication or staff costs, with waiver rules in the statute. Section 63G-2-204 sets request and response procedures whose timing depends on the request and circumstances. Ask for an estimate rather than assuming a flat charge.
UDC Piute County Prison Photos
A person committed to Utah state prison has a different image record. UDC's Media and Public Information page identifies the prison photograph as public offender information, along with legal status, offender number, facility placement, offense and sentence data, Board hearing date, and parole or expiration information. Ask for the prison photo separately when it is not visible in the current locator.
The official public-information source shown below supports the UDC photo route and its distinction from local booking records.

UDC's current offender search covers people now incarcerated or under parole or probation supervision. A fully discharged person can be absent. That absence does not erase an existing public offender record. Use the linked GRAMA gateway and include the UDC number, date of birth, sentencing court, and case when known.
Note: A UDC intake image and a Sevier booking image can show the same person at different times and document different custody events.
Sevier App Mugshot Limits
The Sevier County Sheriff launched an official mobile app in 2026. Its store description verifies Jail Information, News and Events, tips, alerts, and other public-safety material. It does not verify a released-person list, mugshot gallery, photo search, or post-release archive. The app is therefore a useful secondary route to jail information, not a promised Piute County released-mugshot source.
The official iOS listing and official Android listing define the supported claims. The store capture below shows the modest Jail Information description.

If the live app later displays a photo, confirm that the image belongs to the right booking and read any status label. Do not infer release from its mere presence. For a verifiable same-day custody path, use the Piute County released last 24 hours workflow, which explains the absence of an official feed and the records fallback.
Note: App features can change, and the official store description does not establish a Piute County released-photo archive.
Piute County Arrest-Era Images
Official agency releases and reputable local reporting can preserve an arrest-era image after a person has left custody. Such an image can help identify which agency first published it. It cannot establish the case outcome, physical release time, or current legal status. Follow the source back to a sheriff, court, or UDC record.
Utah's offense-specific registry may also display an image when the person is legally subject to registration. That registry is not a general mugshot archive. It cannot supply a release date for people outside its defined population, and absence has no general meaning. Use the official Utah registry gateway only for its limited statutory purpose.
Labels should use past tense and name the image date or booking when known. Avoid captions that imply current custody, present appearance, or guilt from an arrest photograph alone.
Expungement and Piute County Mugshots
Utah expungement can change what the public sees in the court record. Many waiting periods are measured from the latest of conviction or release from incarceration, parole, or probation. That makes an accurate discharge date important. The full rules include offense exclusions, case-count limits, payments, pending matters, and other conditions, so a date alone does not establish eligibility.
Once a case is expunged, it is removed from public Xchange. A blank public search can also result from older coverage, a sealed class of record, a spelling issue, or the wrong court. It is not proof that no arrest, booking, or release occurred. The Utah Courts expungement resource and Bureau of Criminal Identification provide the official process.
Research did not verify a special Utah anti-pay-to-remove or mugshot-publication law. Do not claim one. For an official image, ask the agency how an expungement order affects access to the identified record. A commercial copy may remain stale even after the source changes, which is another reason to rely on official records and avoid paid removal claims.
Verify Piute County Released Mugshots
Use a three-part check. First, match the person through more than a name. Second, match the image to the right booking or prison intake. Third, keep custody status separate from the photograph. A photo can remain after release, while a current image can belong to a later booking.
For a local case, the holding jail's booking record and Piute court docket provide context. For a state case, UDC and the Board provide legal status, parole, and discharge information. When a receiving agency is named, follow that record. A transfer remains custody.
Does a mugshot prove someone was released? No. It proves only that an image was associated with an arrest or corrections record. The release or transfer entry proves the custody event.
