Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice describes what information Piute County Released Inmates may receive when someone browses the site, submits a message, or uses a partner search tool. It also explains why that information is used, which service providers may receive it, and the choices available to a visitor. Searches for Piute, Sevier, Utah corrections, and federal custody records can lead to outside systems with separate policies. By continuing to use this site, a visitor accepts the practices stated here.

Information You Submit

Partner Search Entries

A name, place, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query under its own privacy terms. Piute County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. Visitors should review the provider's policy before submitting information, especially when a search concerns a Piute arrest, a Sevier booking, a UDC record, or another person's identity.

Emails and Messages

If someone emails us or uses a contact form, we keep the message and the contact details needed to respond. That information is used to address the request, maintain the exchange, and protect the site from misuse. We do not share the message outside our organization unless doing so is required by law, legal process, or a valid government demand.

Technical Data Collected Automatically

Basic technical records may be created when a browser loads a page. These records help the site function, measure traffic, and diagnose errors. They can include:

  • The visitor's Internet Protocol address
  • Browser name and browser version
  • Device category and operating system
  • Pages viewed and time spent on them
  • The referring website, when one is supplied
  • Date and time stamps associated with a visit

Cookies and Similar Tools

Cookies may be used to understand how visitors move through the Piute County reference and to support analytics or advertising. A browser can block or delete cookies through its settings. Some site functions, measurements, preferences, or partner features may behave differently when cookies are disabled.

How Information Is Used

Information received through normal site use may support the following purposes:

  • Operating the website and maintaining reasonable speed
  • Sending search requests to the selected partner service
  • Learning which Piute County record pages visitors find useful
  • Detecting faults, misuse, and other technical problems
  • Displaying advertising that may be based on visitor interests

Contact details are used to answer the message that supplied them. Technical data may be grouped for traffic analysis. Search terms handled by a partner remain subject to that partner's systems and rules.

Links Beyond This Website

Pages may link to Piute County Sheriff, Sevier County Jail, Utah courts, the Utah Department of Corrections, the Board of Pardons and Parole, federal locators, release-record resources, and third-party search providers. Once a visitor follows an outside link, the destination's privacy policy controls its data collection and use. Government access to Utah records is governed separately, including by the Government Records Access and Management Act, Title 63G Chapter 2.

Advertising partners may use cookies or related technology on their own systems to recognize activity across websites and select interest-based ads. Their tracking is governed by their policies, not this notice.

Parties That May Receive Data

We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be available to service providers or authorities that need it for the purposes described here:

  • Search partners that process a query submitted to their tool
  • Analytics providers that measure site use and performance
  • Advertising networks that deliver or measure advertisements
  • Law enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order

Each outside provider may retain or process information under its own terms. A visitor should read those terms before using the service.

Steps Used to Protect Data

We use standard administrative and technical practices intended to protect information in our control. No website, network, storage service, or Internet transmission is completely secure. We therefore cannot promise that data will never be lost, intercepted, altered, or accessed without authorization.

Visitors Younger Than 18

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contacts page to request review and deletion.

Your Information Choices

Subject to applicable law and the limits of our systems, a visitor may ask us to:

  • Provide a copy of personal information we hold about that visitor
  • Correct inaccurate information in our possession
  • Delete information that is eligible for erasure
  • Stop or limit certain forms of processing

These requests apply only to data controlled by this site. A request about a Piute Sheriff record, Sevier booking, Utah court file, UDC record, partner search, or ad provider must go to the organization that controls that data.

Changes to This Notice

We may revise this Privacy Notice as site practices, services, or legal duties change. A revised version becomes available on this page and carries a new effective date. Continued use after publication is subject to the updated notice.
